Capitalism, Marxism, and the Citizen

Liberty Starts with the Commoner

At the conclusion of my essay entitled, “Essay #2 on Freedom, This Moment: Behind the Curtain — The True Identity of the Democratic Party,” posted on July 6, 2020[1], I stated the following:

“Leaning Marxist for decades, the Democratic Party has finally become indistinguishable from the Communist Party — lies, dictator-lust, insurrection, central planning, God-hatred, dead bodies by the millions, and all. Much of the pretense has fallen away (though the great lie and other core deceptions persist, as they remain necessary to drive the movement in America where a semblance of pluralism still exists). American voters’ recognition of this reality — or lack of same — during this election cycle will have a monumental impact on whether or not the United States remains a diverse, open, and prosperous society, and freedom’s beacon to a sometimes-grudging world. Literally.”

Since the advent of the Biden Administration in January 2021, we’ve seen much by way of fulfillment of that warning. With the Democrats’ increasing focus on censorship, total control of corporate media, weaponization of the Deep State (with the Department of Justice, the FBI, and the Department of Education leading the way, and the IRS soon to follow with its 87,000 new agents, many of them to be armed), attacks on the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution, and persecution/false prosecution of its political enemies, the far-left Regime is intentionally ratcheting up fear and dismantling the freedoms and prosperity of American citizens.

One reason the Regime is getting away with this is the complicity of US academia, which hallows all that is Marxist refusing to teach actual, factual history about Marxism’s failures and reigns of terror while eviscerating capitalism, free markets, religion, and liberty generally. Observing this with great anxiety, I have, over the past weeks (beginning on Presidents Day 2023) posted one tweet per day on the topic of capitalism, Marxism, and the average, every-day citizen. I’ve since thought it might be useful to publish these in one place in the same sequence in which I displayed them on Twitter (with a couple of exceptions).

So here you go, 50 vignettes for 50 days that have everything to do with liberty, our way of life, and Marxism…our greatest threat:

Vignette 1

Liberty was the most consequential element breathed into Adam & Eve at the instant of their animation. Oxygen would have been pointless without it. Life would have had no meaning without it. The holy freedom to peaceably pursue one’s path is, literally, the very breath of God.

__________

Vignette 2

Liberty is essential to capitalism. Without liberty, free enterprise is definitionally impossible. Marxism, in all its forms, requires the destruction of liberty. In other words, Marxism demands extinguishment of the breath of God. Marxism & God cannot peacefully co-exist.

__________

Vignette 3

Citizen Capitalism: The free market economic system (in place in the US since its founding) wherein individuals control the pursuit of their economic wellbeing, whether by starting and running private businesses or by voluntarily working for others similarly focused on financial success.

__________

Vignette 4

Citizen Capitalism is the antithesis of greed, as selfishly short-changing the customer decreases both income & influence. Private citizens, lacking the power to dominate markets, either provide worthwhile goods or services at fair prices, or they fail.

__________

Vignette 5

Capitalism encourages dreams & unleashes human ingenuity; Marxism crushes both. Capitalism spawns life, liberty, & hope; Marxism sews death, domination, & despair. Capitalism creates & proliferates prosperity; Marxism steals & hoards it.

__________

Vignette 6

Citizen Capitalism, wherein individuals control the just pursuit of their financial enterprises & interests, is key to the exercise of true liberty & personal advancement. Where such control is held by the state, the citizens are but slaves, having no real freedom.

__________

Vignette 7

Anyone who coerces or controls the economic decisions of others is Godless, as God Himself doesn’t even do it. It is perverse when elected officials attempt this, & it is especially evil when unelected parties — such as the WEF or other self-installed totalitarians — pursue it.

__________

Vignette 8

Marxism is a lie. It promises shared benefit through shared sacrifice, yet citizens taste only sacrifice. History has proven Marxism to be but a sinister tool wielded by societal vermin — under cover of state sponsorship — to extract & consolidate wealth & power FROM the masses.

__________

Vignette 9

Marxism twists & exploits human emotion. As an idea, it touts community idealism & preys on a desire for justice & the allure of liberation. In practice, it divides, betrays, & enslaves. It is an emotional Ponzi scheme, demanding full investment but delivering only illusion.

__________

Vignette 10

Marxism is the ready-made, off-the-shelf snake oil that oligarchs & statists buy & sell to solidify their domination of the masses & keep them at bay. It is the moat around their castle. Citizens are allowed over the moat only to make the castle bigger.

__________

Vignette 11

Capitalism blossomed initially where Christianity was prominent, largely because both enshrine liberty. Where Marxism has taken root, all religions, as a matter of policy, have been persecuted and then floundered…or been wiped out entirely.

__________

Vignette 12

In order to embrace Marxism, one must renounce God and liberty. Those who contest that truth misunderstand either God, liberty, or Marxism, and probably all three.

__________

Vignette 13

Citizen capitalists work like crazy. Nearly 62 million Americans work in small businesses. According to Oberlo, there are 32.5 million small businesses in the USA, 99.9% of all businesses. They create 1.5 million jobs each year, or 64% of new jobs added annually.

__________

Vignette 14

Scholars & authors of all stripes, from Adam Smith to Karl Marx, & myriad studies over time, document that capitalism radically increases productivity & pummels poverty. The reason? People work hard, innovate, & take risks when allowed to keep the fruits of their labors.

Contrary to the leftist mantra that capitalists are selfish, people who live in free markets are amazingly charitable. Americans gave $484b to charity in 2021, $326b of which came from individuals. Compare that to $23b in Communist China, with 4x the population, in 2017.

__________

Vignette 15

Capitalism is the most egalitarian, liberating system ever devised. Before England began dumping the feudal system, poverty was the universal lot of the commoner. Between 1800 & 2019, global poverty fell from 81% to 10%, mostly due to growth in free markets.

On the other hand, since its first major install in Russia in 1917, Marxism has created extreme poverty wherever it’s been tried. Further, it has led directly to the death of nearly 200 million people, the vast majority of them private citizens.

__________

Vignette 16

Citizen capitalists who meet customer needs in ever-improving ways often lift their own lot beyond their wildest dreams. In the process, they also elevate the lives of others far more than if they were squatting, in glorious Marxist equity, side-by-side in some rice paddy.

__________

Vignette 17

The Judeo-Christian ethic that underpins capitalism sees family as free society’s bedrock, & the parent-child relationship as a sacrosanct continuum. Strong families & societies in which the hearts of parents & children are turned to each other enable the moral code on which liberty rests.

__________

Vignette 18

Nowadays, teachers are trained to see themselves as ‘second mothers’ & to hide woke teaching & books from the real parents; a key BLM objective is dissolution of the nuclear family; & leftists proclaim that children would do better if raised by the state.

Knowing that strong families are the fabric that binds free societies, Marxism works feverishly to separate children from their parents. One can thus be certain that any policy, teaching, or ideology that seeks such separation is Marxist at its core.

__________

Vignette 19

Even more demonic than separating kids from parents is separating them from…themselves. Youngsters see their identities incessantly challenged — biologically & psychologically — on social media, in the classroom, & by the TV/movie industry, all dripping with Marxist influence.

The social contagion used to create this dysphoria comes straight out of Communist China’s cultural revolution, right down to the shaming & body mutilation. Our youth are brainwashed into believing their very lives depend on them radically changing who they are.

__________

Vignette 20

Under capitalism, private citizens & their achievements are valued, encouraged, & celebrated. Under Marxism, individual achievement is discouraged & citizens are indoctrinated to see themselves as but nameless cogs in a faceless collective.

__________

Vignette 21

Good vs. evil is the plot of life. Capitalism — based on liberty, opportunity, & individual actualization — sits in the good corner; Marxism — requiring bondage, tyranny, & collectivism — in the evil. Capitalism trusts God & personal choice; Marxism romances sociopaths & state control.

__________

Vignette 22

Due to the durable success of Citizen Capitalism, Marxists long ago gave up trying to break the US via appeals to economic victimhood. They’ve since resorted to concocting a fraudulent, identity-laden cocktail of fictional capitalist failings under the flag of “social justice.”

__________

Vignette 23

America’s institutions — schools, churches, businesses, medicine, & the government itself — used to serve an important role in maintaining stability & bolstering freedom, as, historically, liberty was an assumed bedrock of their missions.

Catastrophically, Marxism has permeated those institutions, drenching us with its perfidy in the process. Most blatant has been the takeover of academia, where Marxists own every thought & word drilled into the heads of our youth. Those thoughts & words are ALL anti-capitalist.

__________

Vignette 24

We’re being betrayed by our institutions. Censorship & psyops abound. Citizens are strong, but the sleight of hand is as real as it is confusing & punishing. Until our institutions shed their Marxist rot, society will slip further & further out of phase, & liberty will progressively decline.

__________

Vignette 25

Institutional Capture Exhibit A: In 2021, the Nat’l Education Assoc made teaching Critical Race Theory its highest priority, & pledged to fight against capitalism while promoting Marxism…& go after parents who disapprove. The teachers’ union pursues this agenda to this day.

This Marxist push in K-12 education is the natural, next-step progression of what’s been going on in higher education (academia) for years. The result is Maoist “cultural revolution” activity that leaps straight out of the Chinese Communist Party playbook of the 1960s.

See the recent Stanford law school debacle where law students & a DEI official shouted down a visiting judge, then put their administration through a Red Guard-style walk of shame for having apologized to the judge.

__________

Vignette 26

Institutional Capture Exhibit B: For centuries, businesses have welcomed private ownership. During that time, profitability has been the metric guiding shareholders’ (often retired citizens’) investment decisions. Until recently, Marxists had failed to dislodge that focus.

Unable to “legislate” their far-left environmental, social, & governance (ESG) policies, Marxists now push for companies to be valued based on such preferences, advancing their agenda through the back door while unapologetically reducing investor returns in the process. (See the Silicon Valley Bank failure for just one example.)

__________

Vignette 27

Institutional Capture Exhibit C: Christian churches have proven oddly susceptible to Marxist encroachment. Presumably, this is because they preach the love & tolerance that Marxism pretends, & the leaders & faithful have failed to detect the wolves in sheeps’ clothing.

Marxist Critical Theory has become prominent, with its deemphasis of achievement & standards, deconstruction of Christ-based culture in favor of empty, DEI-infested “belonging,” & illusory focus on “social justice”. Leaders often use shaming tactics to “educate” members.

Even knowing that Marxism denies God, destroys religion, & crushes faith, many Christian officials have thus opened their hearts & policies to Marxist tenets that contradict church doctrine. If any institution ought to forcefully & vocally oppose Marxism, it is Christianity.

__________

Vignette 28

Institutional Capture Exhibit D: The recently-released “Twitter Files” prove, inarguably, that the US government is engaging in rampant, unconstitutional censorship of its citizens, always to aid Democrats, their electoral prospects, & their increasingly-Marxist ideology.

__________

Vignette 29

Institutional Capture Exhibit E: The COVID vaccine scam is one of the most egregious, ruinous, & deadly institutional failures in history. Virtually every new study confirms what Pfizer & Moderna already knew…the vaccines neither stop nor slow COVID transmission.

Further, it’s been proven that COVID vaccines cause serious, even deadly, side effects. And nearly every institution has been complicit in the cover-up. One could be forgiven for concluding that the vaccine is all about controlling citizens, & not about protecting them.

Marxism thrives on societal decay…& it causes most of it. By fomenting dissatisfaction among the commoners, Marxists erode confidence & agitate for upheaval in democracies. The vaccine scam — a seemingly isolated event — has really been (in concert with mandates, lockdowns, & shaming of the unvaccinated) a political tactic waged against the citizenry.

__________

Vignette 30

Capitalism’s genius is that it is accessible to individual citizens, & thus creates optimism, energy, & self-sufficiency. Marxism’s doom is its very MO: it cannot operate in a free society & it punishes initiative, thus burying hope while unleashing lethargy & dependency.

__________

Vignette 31

History shows that capitalism can self-perpetuate over centuries, elevating liberty, charity, & standards of living in the process. History also shows that Marxism, try as it might, cannot forever suppress the divine spark of human freedom burning within the masses it plunders.

__________

Vignette 32

Scams of the vilest nature have been waged in the attempt to scuttle Citizen Capitalism. Among the most obscene are the myths of over-population, climate change, & critical race theory. These come clothed in virtue, a wrap that ingeniously masks their dishonesty & malign intent.

__________

Vignette 33

Citizen Capitalism creates hundreds of millions of self-supporting winners & relatively few (often temporary) losers. Marxism creates hundreds of millions of (usually permanent) losers & but very few, very wealthy winners.

__________

Vignette 34

Under Citizen Capitalism, you are your own master…you control your destiny. Under Marxism, others are your masters…and you have zero control over their agenda (or your own).

__________

Vignette 35

Citizen Capitalism encourages enormous individual success; Marxism discourages it. Citizen Capitalism allows individuals the freedom to fail; Marxism ensures it.

__________

Vignette 36

Under Citizen Capitalism, individuals can, & very often do, raise themselves from failure to success; under Marxism, individual growth is allowed only when, & to the degree, it helps the state (specifically, the sociopaths who run the state).

__________

Vignette 37

Marxism = centralized control. At cpusa.org, the US Communist Party states, “Democratic centralism…means…collective functioning [&] encouraging…the full democratic participation of all members, but with a prohibition against factional organizing [emphasis added].”

The door is thus intentionally thrown open to the tyranny that always accompanies Marxism. Given the Communists’ conflation of democracy with centralism, it would be difficult to find a more dishonest, self-contradicting construction of reality.

__________

Vignette 38

There is no “Marxism lite,” there are only stages of Marxist evil. On its website, cpusa.org, the US Communist Party, states, “We have epic struggles ahead of us that we must win on the way to building a socialist and then communist society [emphasis added].”

__________

Vignette 39

An irony of capitalism is that the freedom on which it thrives allows the teaching of Marxism, its mortal enemy. Even more ironic is that captains of corporate capitalism, those who financially benefit most from free markets, today increasingly embrace Marxism.

__________

Vignette 40

“Wokeism” is a front for Marxism. Being woke means you agree to a single, orchestrated, authoritarian narrative (which constitutes nothing less than a “cultural revolution”); you work to destroy those who stray from the narrative; & YOU cannot stray from the narrative.

Being woke means your thoughts are no longer your own…you’ve ceded your liberty to a central authority that does not know you, does not care about you, &, history shows, will betray you in the end.

__________

Vignette 41

Marxism purposely pits people of differing so-called “identities” against each other to create social chasms it then exploits. The poisonous rise of intersectionality, identity politics, & racial animosity — Marxist tactics all — has diminished commonality & civility.

Conversely, Citizen Capitalism requires social cohesion & people who understand each other. Producers must understand consumers, their wants, & their needs, or they sell nothing; consumers must understand what producers are selling, or their wants & needs go unmet.

__________

Vignette 42

Citizen Capitalism elevates human dignity; Marxism eviscerates it.

__________

Vignette 43

Citizens must assertively & unashamedly defend capitalism, winning hearts, minds, & votes along the way. Vigilance is critical, as even elected governments tend to usurp increasing levels of control & money from the commoners, diminishing their liberty & wellbeing in the process.

__________

Vignette 44

Citizen Capitalism, resilient & well-executed, increases prosperity. Marxism, as practiced everywhere it’s been tried — on its own terms, no less — increases poverty.

__________

Vignette 45

Citizen capitalists sometimes fail miserably, losing everything. The redeeming virtue of capitalism is that it supplies the freedom &, often, the access to capital needed for a rebound. Hence, over time, prosperity improves broadly, even as individual failures occur.

The Marxist safety net traps more fish than it saves. Unlike capitalism, it provides no wiggle room for escape, reinvention, & recovery. Under central planning, the government picks its few winners, & winning always means elevating the state (i.e., the elite). Hence, losers stay lost.

__________

Vignette 46

Capitalism gains power through the promise of freedom & prosperity; it keeps power by delivering on that promise, & by educating the populace on its virtues. Marxism gains power by turning our schools into indoctrination camps…& then keeps it by terror & force of arms.

__________

Vignette 47

Capitalism is only as good as the people who employ it. But it has the advantage of being imperfect one person at a time, to varying degrees, & in diverse ways, the worst of which may be susceptibility to individual incompetence.

Marxism, on the other hand, is an amalgam of humanity’s vilest oppressive tendencies, false promises, & thievery — thundering down all at once on everybody — the worst of which is the cancellation of hope, purpose, & liberty that sucks the very meaning out of life.

__________

Vignette 48

If God’s plan is our growth, He can’t possibly want our potential stifled. If God’s promise is liberty, He can’t possibly want others to control us. If God’s gift is love, He can’t possibly want us governed by hate.

No construct could possibly be further from God than Marxism.

__________

Vignette 49

It is galling enough that otherwise caring people would insist on freedom of opportunity for themselves, yet deny it to others. It is beyond confounding that otherwise sane people would strut, voluntarily & headlong, into the tyrannical & oppressive arms of Marxism.

__________

Vignette 50

Marxism abhors classical education. It replaces it with ideological indoctrination (see US academia). It finds utility in humans only when they advance the Marxist cause. In other words, the dumber you are, the more useful you are to Marxists. Hence the term, “useful idiot.”

__________

To end, I’ll summarize it all in one last vignette:

Capitalism saves; Marxism kills.

I defy anyone to prove me wrong.
